Belonging and Betrayal: How Jews Made the Art World Modern

October 7 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Book talk at American Jewish University (Los Angeles)

In his recent book, Charles Dellheim reveals how Jewish art dealers changed the fate of the modern art world.

Belonging and Betrayal chronicles a fascinating untold story of a small number of eminent Jewish art dealers and collectors who played a pivotal role in the migration of works of art from Europe to the United States. Unwittingly, they defined the present and future of the art world.

Join Charles Dellheim to mark the publication and discuss the stories behind the book, which extends beyond both sides of the Atlantic, from nineteenth century to the present.

Note: This is a 60 minute class running on Thursday, 10/7/2021 @ 2pm-3pm PDT. Upon completed registration, your Zoom invitation will be emailed to you 7 days prior to the start time.
