Professor of Jewish American Studies

Maxwell Greenberg is an interdisciplinary scholar of race, religion and gender in the North American West and currently serves as the Postdoctoral Fellow of Jewish Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He received his PhD in Chicana/o and Central American Studies from UCLA, and is writing a book manuscript titled The New Jewish Pioneer: Whiteness, Masculinity and Nationalism at the US-Mexico Border. He has developed curricula for museums and the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and his published work can be found in academic and popular outlets, including Jewish Currents and Protocols.
