Torfinn Langelid, a candidatus philosophiae in history, is a former senior advisor at the County Governor of Vestland. He was the national coordinator for correctional education in Norway, a member of the Nordic Network for Prison Education for many years, and a member of the steering committee of the European Prison Educa- tion Association (EPEA) from 1997 to 2007. He has published articles, reports, and books on prison education and historical perspectives of correctional education.
